Description
Description
The NASA Battery Clipper BM1 is a compact 24 V DC battery monitor that displays voltage, current, temperature and state of charge on a clear, easy-to-read screen.
- Supply voltage 16–32 V DC (nominal 24 V)
- Supply current 1.5 mA
- Battery capacity 5–600 Ah
- Maximum load current 100 A
- Maximum charge current 100 A
- Precision 100 A shunt supplied — 50 mV @ 100 A
- Measures voltage, charge/discharge current, temperature, state of charge and time to charge/discharge
The BM1 is supplied with a prefabricated cable assembly and precision shunt for straightforward DIY installation. It continuously monitors terminal voltage and current, computes state of charge using dual algorithms (amp-hour integration plus an adaptive battery model), provides a resettable amp‑hour counter, warns on low charge and includes a second input for monitoring a starter battery — helping to optimise battery life and reduce failure risk.
