The NASA Man MOBi is a fail-safe transponder man-overboard system featuring a base unit and three active fobs to alert and identify crew or equipment that go overboard.
- Includes base unit plus 3 active transponder fobs
- Supports up to 8 transponders on a single base
- Base sequentially interrogates each fob; fobs broadcast presence
- Detects drop in signal level and triggers a high-intensity audible alarm
- Continual display of crew names, transponder signal levels and status
- Each fob powered by 3 × AAA cells — several weeks continuous use
- When base is off, fobs enter sleep mode for several years' battery life
