Description

Photonic Universe high-efficiency 40 A MPPT charge controller for 12/24 V battery systems. This MPPT solar charge controller 40 A 12 V/24 V supports PV input up to 100 V and array sizes up to 520W for 12 V systems or up to 1040W for 24 V systems (do not assume 24 V figures apply to 12 V systems).

  • MPPT technology: advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking for maximum harvest and compatibility with higher-voltage panels (PV Voc up to 100 V).
  • Input power: supports up to 520W when charging a 12 V battery; supports up to 1040W when charging a 24 V battery.
  • Full system protection: reverse current prevention at night, over-charge cut-off, deep-discharge protection, panel over-voltage, overload, short circuit and reverse polarity protection plus self-diagnostic fault targeting.
  • Lithium battery charging: compatible with lithium batteries when a lithium charging programme is selected via PC software or mobile app; Li-ion parameters configurable—see manual for details.
  • Advanced system monitoring: automatically recognises 12/24 V battery systems (battery must be connected before the solar panel) and provides detailed status reporting.
  • Communications & documentation: RS485/RJ45 interface, optional MT50 remote meter (LCD), PC software and mobile app for configuration and monitoring; user manual and firmware/software downloads available.
  • Controller specifications: high conversion efficiency (>95%), negative common ground, current limiting function and comprehensive electronic protection features.
  • Operational data: self-consumption <12 mA; working temperature -25°C to +50°C (-13°F to +122°F); dimensions 25.2 x 18 x 6.3 cm (9.9 x 7.1 x 2.5 in); mounting dimensions 21 x 17.1 cm (8.3 x 6.7 in); weight 1.65 kg (3.6 lb); multiple 5 mm mounting holes.

For safe operation connect the battery before the PV array and consult the user manual for wiring, Li-ion parameter settings and installation guidance. Suited to marine and off-grid electrical systems.
