Description

Compact, high‑precision battery monitor for 12/24/48 V systems with a 500 A shunt, providing voltage, state of charge, current, amp hours and time‑to‑go.

  • Battery data: battery voltage displayed to two decimal places (0.01 V); battery state of charge indicated as a percentage from 0–100% (resolution 0.1%).
  • Charging / discharging current and power: shows current (A) and power (W); values flowing out (load consumption) as negative, flowing in as positive; current resolution 0.01 A.
  • Amp hours consumed: records Ah with 0.1 Ah resolution (for example, 12 A drawn for 3 h = 36.0 Ah consumed).
  • Time‑to‑go: estimates remaining time to support the current load; in‑depth data log records highest/lowest voltages, deepest discharge, cumulative Ah and time since last full charge.
  • System specifications: nominal battery voltage 12 V / 24 V / 48 V; supply voltage range 6.5–95 V; input current range with supplied shunt −500 A to +500 A; relay 60 V / 1 A; supply current 15 mA (12 V) / 8 mA (24 V); current draw (backlight off) <4 mA; operating temperature −20°C to +50°C.
  • Display and accuracy: display format current 0.01 A, voltage 0.01 V, amp hours 0.1 Ah, state of charge 0.1%; accuracy with 500 A shunt: voltage ±0.3%, current ±0.4%.
  • Dimensions & weight: LCD monitor diameter (front) 63 mm (2.48 in), back 52 mm (2.Ø 5 in), depth 31 mm (1.22 in), square frame 69 x 69 mm (2.72 x 2.72 in), monitor weight 70 g (2.47 oz); shunt 120 x 25 x 50 mm (4.72 x 0.98 x 1.97 in), shunt weight 315 g (11.11 oz).
  • Standards & items supplied: Safety EN 60335‑1; Emission/Immunity EN 55014‑1 / EN 55014‑2; Automotive ECE R10‑4 / EN 50498. Additional items supplied: connection cable 10 m (32.8 ft), positive supply cable 1 m (3.28 ft), 4 x mounting screws.

Please note: the shunt must be connected in the negative battery conductor close to the battery. User manual and datasheet for the Victron BMV‑700 are available to download; contact technical support for installation or sync parameter advice.
