- When using Argo FET battery isolators there is no need to increase alternator output voltage; keep cable runs short and use sufficient cross-section.
- Example voltage drop: 100 A through 50 mm² (AWG 0) over 10 m (30 ft) ≈ 0.26 V; 50 A through 10 mm² (AWG 7) over 5 m (15 ft) ≈ 0.35 V.
- Alternator energise input: includes a current-limited energise that powers B+ when engine run/stop is closed, for alternators that require DC on B+ to start charging.
- Ideal for boats and vehicles requiring dependable dual-battery isolation; ensure correct cable sizing and short runs for optimal performance.
