Description

Victron BatteryProtect BP-100 100 A protects 12/24 V battery systems from deep discharge and overvoltage, extending battery life and safeguarding connected loads.

  • Low-voltage disconnect: automatically disconnects loads when battery voltage falls below a programmable threshold to prevent deep discharge.
  • Programmable low-voltage threshold: customise disconnect and reconnect voltages for different battery chemistries, including dedicated VE.Bus Lithium settings.
  • Overvoltage load disconnect: disconnects loads if battery voltage exceeds a set limit to protect appliances and equipment.
  • Automatic system recognition: detects nominal system voltage (12 V or 24 V) at start-up for simple installation and setup.
  • Ultra-low current consumption: <1.5 mA during active operation and <0.6 mA when disconnected to minimise battery drain.
  • Remote switch and alarm connections: dry-contact inputs and an alarm relay allow remote control and status signalling.
  • Compatible with lithium and lead-acid batteries: includes specialised modes for VE.Bus Lithium battery management and support for VE.Bus BMS mode.
  • Easy to program: adjustable settings for different battery types and application requirements; consult the manual for programming details.
  • Nominal battery voltage: 12/24 V.
  • Operating voltage range: 6–35 V.
  • Maximum continuous current: 100 A.
  • Peak current: 600 A (30 s).
  • Current draw: <1.5 mA active; <0.6 mA during disconnect.
  • Alarm relay: 50 mA.
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to +40°C (up to 60% capacity at 50°C).
  • Dimensions: 59 x 42 x 115 mm.
  • Weight: 500 g.
  • Terminals: M8.
  • Included items: negative cable 50 cm, 1.5 mm² cross section; 2-pin dry-contact socket for remote switch; 3-pin dry-contact socket for negative cable.
  • Installation note: connect the BatteryProtect on the positive battery wire, close to the battery. Refer to the user manual for wiring diagrams and safe installation guidance.
  • Documentation: user manual and datasheet available to download for VE-BPR100 (Victron BatteryProtect 100 A 12/24 V).
