Description

The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 100/50 (VBSM100-50) is a 50 A solar charge controller for 12 V and 24 V systems, engineered for high efficiency, robust protection and advanced monitoring.

  • Ultrafast MPPT Technology — 50 A controller designed to deliver the highest possible energy yield through rapid maximum power point tracking.
  • Inbuilt safety protection — PV short circuit, PV reverse polarity, PV reverse current, battery reverse polarity, battery overheating (internal temperature sensor) and self-diagnostic fault indication via LEDs.
  • Advanced programming and monitoring — optional MPPT Control Panel (sold separately) provides local programming and detailed status.
  • Live data transmission — real-time information including solar panel and battery voltage, current and power via VE.Direct.
  • Data logs — system activity and performance for the past 30 days.
  • User-defined battery charging algorithm — option to disable preset values in favour of personalised charging parameters.
  • Communications & compatibility — VE.Direct TTL serial (RS232 via interface cable) for VE.Direct accessories; compatible with Windows PCs/laptops and remote monitoring solutions.
  • Key specifications — max solar panel voltage: 100 V; max solar panel power: 700W (12 V) / 1400W (24 V); efficiency >95%; self-consumption: 30 mA (12 V) / 20 mA (24 V); temperature sensor for protection features; working temperature: -30°C to +60°C; IEC/EN certified.
  • Mechanical & protection — cable size up to 13 mm²; enclosure: IP43 (electronic components) / IP22 (connection area); pollution degree PD3; dimensions: 130 x 186 x 70 mm (5.12 x 7.32 x 2.76 in); mounting dimensions: 176 x 71.5 mm; weight: 1.3 kg (2.87 lb); 4 x mounting holes Ø 8 mm.
