Description
Description
This waterproof, high-efficiency 20W polycrystalline solar panel supplies free power for permanent outdoor use — ideal for boats, campervans, sheds and other 12 V systems.
- Peak power: 20W
- Maximum power voltage (Vmp): 17.5 V; Maximum power current (Imp): 1.14 A
- Open circuit voltage (Voc): 21.6 V; Short circuit current (Isc): 1.23 A
- Power tolerance: +/- 3%
- Dimensions: 485 x 345 x 25 mm (19.1 x 13.6 x 1.0 in); Weight: 2.0 kg (4.4 lb)
- 4 mounting holes; junction box extends ~0.5 cm beyond frame — leave 1.0–1.5 cm space under the panel for cooling
- 2 m cable attached (approx. 6.6 ft); sealed, waterproof junction box and aluminium frame for outdoor use
- Requires a solar charge controller/regulator to charge a 12 V battery. To upgrade to 40W, add a second 20W panel in parallel: connect "+" to "+" and "-" to "-" then to the solar controller
- 1 year workmanship warranty; solar cells guaranteed ≥90% output at 10 years and ≥80% at 25 years (manufacturer)
No installation manual is supplied — the panel must be connected to a suitable solar charge controller/regulator to charge a 12 V battery. If you need AC output via an inverter, the correct system sequence is: panel -> controller -> battery -> inverter; do not connect the panel directly to an inverter. Use corrosion-resistant fittings for marine/RV installations and choose an appropriate MPPT or PWM controller sized for the panel.
